Grandparents
We are blessed to have my parents living a short ferry ride from us and they were able to visit our campsite for a BBQ one evening. There's a lot to learn between generations!
Scillies
We took a day trip to the Isles of Scilly, which was lots of fun but I think we spent more time on the boat than on the islands! We'll have to take the tent next time. It was fun to go on a mini journey altogether though.
Theatre al-fresco
We took a trip to the Minack theatre recently with our church family, which is always a treat. We saw 'George's Marvellous Medicine' and the children were really captivated by it. We'll plan to visit more live theatre with them and will return to Minack in the summer for their storytellings for children.
Minack Storytellings
Making friends
This was at our campsite. I've noticed Reuben and Keziah have become quite outgoing recently at making friends wherever we go. This is great as, although they always have each other to play with, it's really good that they can instantly find playmates in the park etc.
Swimming
The trouble with having more than one child (and close in age) is that you can't take them all to swimming pools with only one parent. Thankfully ours Love the sea and make up for the lack of pool time with sea swimming in the summer. These 2 are really growing in confidence in the sea and they have a blast whenever we go to the beach!
Little Explorers
As a family we love the outdoors and having adventures. We are blessed to live in Cornwall where this is easy to do. We recently took some time off, which didn't go as planned (a trip to Snowdonia to climb mountains and hunt for waterfalls) as we had van trouble. We returned to Cornwall and made the most of beautiful weather with an impromptu camping trip. The children are great at walking and climbing and we like to take them to the hard-to-reach beaches to get away from the crowds. We are really enjoying watching them delight in discovering the beauty of creation.
